All corporate names must be approved by the BC government before you can incorporate. Approval of corporate names take approximately 15 to 20 business days. Expedited services in 1 to 2 business days are available for an additional fee. Such approval is not required for numbered corporations.

You will receive your Certificate of Incorporation, Articles of Incorporation, Incorporation Application, and Notice of Articles in PDF format via email. Upon receiving of these documents your corporation is ready for business and to open a corporate bank account.

Incorporation in British Columbia is recommended when your business is located in BC and you are not planning to open offices or other permanent establishments in other Canadian provinces. Please be advised that each British Columbia corporation may conduct business with parties located in and outside of BC including parties located outside of Canada.
If you conduct business with international customers and suppliers and are planning to open offices outside of British Columbia, you should consider a Federal Incorporation.
